Turning inward for Samhain
A full day of rest and release
At the beginning of November, the Celtic festival SAMHAIN heralds the darkest time of the year: we go from the outside of the light Yang (doing, wanting, creating, thinking) into the inside of the dark Yin (letting be, accepting, resting, becoming aware). Just as in nature what has borne fruit dies and life juices are drawn inwards, it is also the moment for us to let go and to slow down the speed of everyday life so that we do not carry too heavy a load in the depths of winter.
On this day of retreat and inward sweeping, you take the first step in this direction, consciously stepping over the threshold: you let go of all obligations, goals and tasks for one Sunday and make your way back into the presence of your body: no theory input, no tricky reflection questions, no complex processes – only physical practice in movement and rest, in sound and silence, in surrender and relaxation.
And: a blissful feeling of being nourished by a wonderfully warm, vegan, gluten-free lunch.
